Randy Moss was born in 1977. He has made an impact on the NFL like no other. Over the last two seasons, this phenomenal player has become the most dominant wide receiver in the game. After two record breaking years at Marshall University, Randy Moss was headed for the pros. The Minnesota Vikings selected Moss with the 21st pick of the 1998 draft. In his first year, he put together one of the best rookie seasons in NFL history, leaving a slew of broken records in his wake. Here are some of the new records set: most touchdown receptions by a rookie (17), team record for most games with a touchdown pass in a season (11), and team record for most 40-plus yard plays (14) and touchdowns (10). The Vikings finished the regular season with a 15-1 record while Moss contributed 69 catches, 1,313 receiving yards, and the aforementioned 17 touchdowns. That year, Moss started in the Pro Bowl as a rookie, and he won Pro Bowl MVP honors the following year. Other accolades include All-NFC, All-NFL, and Rookie of the Year honors.
