Jake Plummer (1974- ) Plummer is nicknamed Jack the Snake. He plays with the Arizona Cardinals. Plummer has thrilled many fans ever since his college days back at Arizona State, and he will continue to thrill fans as he becomes one of the elite quarterbacks in the NFL. In his first college game in 1993, as a reserve, he threw a 78-yard touchdown pass. By the sixth game he was starting, and by the 10th he'd led four consecutive wins.
In his college career, Plummer has passed for a school-record 8,626 yards and 64 touchdowns. More important, Arizona State has won 15 of its last 16 games because "Jake the Snake" refuses to lose, slithering out of the grasp of opponents to rally the Sun Devils from fourth-quarter ties or deficits.
