Cade McNown (1977- ) was born in Portland, OR. He was a history major and says that he admires Joe Montana and patterns his style of play after Steve Young. Cade was drafted in 1999 by the Chicago Bears with the #12 overall pick. McNown became only fifth rookie starting quarterback for Chicago since 1975.
One of the most prolific rookie passers in Bears history McNown set new rookie records for completions (127) and passing attempts (235). He became third NFL rookie QB in the 1990's to throw four touchdowns in a game. In 2001 he was traded to the Miami Dolphins.
